Naomi Harasawa
ハラサワ ナオミ
Naomi Harasawa has been continued to create paintings using a mixed technique of oil and tempera painting, and in 2012 she encountered traditional Japanese Mizuhiki materials and started creating contemporary works using it. "Mizuhiki" is a decorative string made from twisted and colored Japanese paper, and as the knot symbolizes, it has the meaning of connecting people. It is also said to have the power to maintain good luck and to protect from evil spirits.
The gentle material is dynamically rolled up, undulating, and flowing. The impressive three-dimensional works are introduced in Nepal's largest newspaper, The Himalayan.
Her work has been exhibited around the world and continues to fascinate viewers.
